The Trixie Reptiland Prosun Mixed D3 UV-B Lamp Self-Ballasted is a lamp for reptiles that combines UVB, UVA and heat radiation in the terrarium. Heat is vital to a reptile’s body temperature, UVA gives a good appetite and an active animal, and UVB imitates the radiation of the sun. Only under UVB light can the animal produce vitamin D3, indispensable for the development of the bones and for the metabolism. The lamp has a large socket (E27) and a built-in ballast: no separate control gear is needed.
