The Trixie Reptiland Desert Pro Compact 10.0 UV-B Lamp 23 W is a terrarium lamp for reptiles and amphibians from the desert and the savannah that imitates sunlight, with UVB. UVB matters a great deal: only under UVB can reptiles produce vitamin D3, which contributes to healthy digestion and to good development of the bones. The lamp emits both UVB and UVA, which also stimulates activity and appetite. The optimal daylight output stimulates plant growth. Day-active reptiles from desert and savannah regions are optimally supplied with UVB by this lamp.
