The Trixie Reptiland Coconut Fibre (cocopeat) is a substrate for terrariums housing reptiles or spiders and for environments in which high humidity is wanted, such as for some lizards or snakes. This natural, organic product swells to seven or eight times its own volume when water is added. The coconut fibre holds moisture very well and for a long time, and is perfect for rainforest terrariums, humid hides and other environments where the humidity has to stay constantly high. You can also let the soil dry out for longer and use it in drier terrariums. Thanks to its soft structure the coconut fibre is pleasant for the animal, and there is no risk of it swallowing large pieces while seizing its prey. The coconut fibre is heat-treated, free of mould and free of fertilisers.
