The Trixie Reptiland Coconut Chips are a substrate for terrariums in which high humidity is wanted, such as for some lizards or snakes. This natural, organic product swells to four or five times its own volume when water is added. The chips hold moisture very well and for a long time, which makes them perfect for rainforest terrariums, humid hides and other environments where the humidity has to stay constantly high. You can also let the chips dry out for longer and use them in drier terrariums. The coconut chips are heat-treated, free of mould and free of fertilisers.
