The Trixie Matatabi chew sticks are 100% natural, have a play-stimulating scent and support dental care. They offer distraction, which is useful in situations such as a journey, a house move, an addition to the family or a stay in a boarding kennel or at the vet. Matatabi sticks are widely used for cats that show aggression, are not house-trained, scratch the furniture, miaow a great deal, lick themselves a lot or are frustrated.
The matatabi tree is a relative of the kiwi tree and grows in Asia, particularly in China and Japan. The dried twigs have a particular effect on cats: they contain a substance that cats enjoy and that lets them relax. Cats that are already relaxed in themselves are often less interested in the sticks than cats that are under strain.
