PUUR Herny is a complementary feed for dogs and cats, good for the nervous system in the neck or lumbar region and especially the intervertebral discs. It keeps the joints in the back supple and supports well-functioning neck and back vertebrae, including in cases of local fluid build-up and pressure on the spinal cord.
Composition: diluted extract of St John's wort (Hypericum perforatum) and arnica (Arnica montana). Alcohol 35% v/v.
Dosage: unless the vet or therapist prescribes otherwise, 2 to 3 times a day: dog 10-15 drops, cat 5-10 drops (20 drops is about 1 ml). Give it with a plastic syringe directly into the mouth, diluted with a little water if you like, preferably not at the same time as a meal. If giving it several times a day is difficult, 1 x a day or 1 x every 2 days is enough; then give the maximum dose for one day. The product can be given permanently; it is advisable to take a one-week break after every 6 to 8 weeks.
Advice: ensure calm, steady exercise and avoid sudden stops, as in play; also avoid using a collar. With long-standing discomfort the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks.
Contraindication: during pregnancy and lactation always use in consultation with the treating vet.
Side effects: none known or reported to date. A short-lived worsening may occur at the start of treatment; if it increases severely, halve the dose or stop temporarily and then build up again slowly.
Storage: dry, out of direct sunlight, at 5-20 °C and out of the reach of children.
