De Groene Os Evening Primrose and Borage Oil for Dogs and Cats 50 ml is a supplement for dogs and cats: an oil containing the polyunsaturated fatty acid GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). Both evening primrose oil and borage oil are rich in the omega-6 fatty acid linoleic acid. Linoleic acid is an essential fatty acid in itself, but it is often present in excess in food. The extra borage oil makes the balance between GLA and linoleic acid more favourable. Read the packaging before use, among other things for the dosage.

Evening primrose and borage oil is rich in the polyunsaturated fatty acids GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) and LA (linoleic acid). GLA is important for, among other things, the mucous membranes, skin and hormones. Linoleic acid occurs in several vegetable oils, but evening primrose and borage oil is one of the few oils that also contains a high concentration of GLA.
This supplement can be a good idea if the animal could use support for a healthy skin, to support a normal musculoskeletal system and, in female animals, to support hormonal balance.
