Beaphar Care+ Timothy Hay is complementary feed for rodents: a tasty and healthy type of hay for rabbits and rodents such as guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus. Timothy hay has a high crude fibre content, good for teeth and digestion, and a favourable calcium-phosphorus ratio, so it fits into a balanced diet. Most types of hay are based on alfalfa and contain a lot of calcium. In terms of composition, timothy hay is the most suitable for rabbits and rodents: it contains plenty of fibre and little calcium. This favourable ratio helps to prevent, among other things, bladder problems in guinea pigs and rabbits.
